A Festive Holiday Season at the Clore Center in Ein Hayam, Haifa

On December 20, 2017, the Leo Baeck Community Center and the Haifa Municipality held an event for Jewish and Arab children from the western neighborhoods of Haifa at the Clore Center in the multicultural Ein Hayam neighborhood to celebrate the holiday season.

Arab-Jewish Summer Camp Completes Successful 27th Annual Session

The 27th annual Leo Baeck Arab-Jewish Summer Camp took place during the week of August 13-18, 2018, with full participation of 50 Jewish and 50 Arab elementary school age children. The theme of this summer’s day camp was One for All and All for One and through experiential teamwork campers were exposed to the major cultures and religions in Israel and how they influence each other.

Arab-Jewish Youth Leadership Training Participants Delight Audience with a Musical Production

Following several months of meetings between Jewish and Arab high school students, educators, and community center staff participating in the Arab-Jewish Youth Leadership Training Program, the students initiated, planned, and performed an exciting musical production for their parents and community members.  The show of original and well-known popular songs took place in the Tamra Community Center in June 2017, during the period of Shavuot and Ramadan holidays. The audience of 150 guests from Haifa and Tamra included the students’ parents, educators, the Mayor of Tamra, Dr. Suheil Diab, Leo Baeck’s Managing Director, Dan Fesler, regional directors of the Israeli Association of Community Centers, and Tamra school principals. UK Progressive Birthright Students Visit Haifa’s Multi-Cultural Ein Ha-Yam Neighborhood
